Get to know Karen:
Karen is a proud Idaho native who enjoys exploring Idaho’s public lands and trails, ATV and UTV riding, 4WDing, jetboating, fishing, hunting and camping, hiking and snowshoeing.

Current affiliations include: Idaho Recreation Council (IRC), Elk City Dust Devil’s ATV Club, High-Country Snowmobile Club, Mountain Home ATV/UTV Club, Idaho UTV, Canyon County ATV/UTV Club, Idaho State ATV/UTV Association (ISATVUTV), Blue Ribbon Coalition (BRC), Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Life Member, Foundation for Wildlife Management, Clearwater Basin Collaborative (CBC).

Favorite areas and trails include: Elk City 505 Divide Trail, Owhyee Front Trail system, Salmon River, South Fork of the Clearwater River, Danskin Trail System, Idaho City Yurt & Trails System.

Accomplishments include: Elk City Dust Devil’s ATV Club President (2012, 2022-2023, 2025). Former Elk City Dust Devil’s ATV Club Board Member. ISATVUTV President, Secretary and Former ISATVA Vice President & Membership. Former IRC – ATV Representative. Former President of Gem State ATV Association. IRC OHV Economic Impact coordinator. For the last 25 years, I have been involved in some form or fashion supporting motorized recreation in Idaho. 2012, I worked with all OHV (Trail Machine, UTV, ATV, Snowmobile) user groups and the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation to facilitate a statewide survey on resident and non-resident OHV expenditures. 2009-2012, Successfully assisted IRC’s OHV Gas Tax Campaign and served on a team to help lobby the Idaho Legislature to revert back Idahoan’s OHV Gas Tax to the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation (IDPR). Started riding ATVs in 1998. Idaho ATV Safety Certification. 2012, Held a Youth ATV Certification Class for little Dust Devils. 2006-2007 IRC Outdoor Recreation Week Coordinator and led a team of volunteers in creating the IRC website. As the IRC Outdoor Recreation Week Coordinator, I led a group of statewide volunteers in coordinating ATV rides, delegated dealership involvement and media campaign. This effort raised the awareness regarding our outdoor recreation opportunities within Idaho’s rural communities, promoting economic benefits, public access and responsible recreation activities. Proactively champion responsible ATV and UTV use by working with Idaho’s Counties, State and Federal agencies (Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest Service, Idaho County Commissioners, Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, Idaho Outfitters & Guides). Served on the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation – Recreational Trails Program
Advisory Committee. 2005 Volunteer Trail Brushing Leader for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation – Idaho City Trail system. Former Idaho Department of Park and Recreation – Idaho City Trails Volunteer. Participated in Recreation Resource Advisory Committee (RRAC) Listening Session. Assisted on Petition Signature Drive for Silver Creek Bridge that was reduced from full size vehicle to ATV classifications and Nez Perce Forest Revision Plan on opposing additional federal lands being added to Recommended Wilderness Area designations. Communicate and Solicit area IO&G, Equine and outdoor recreation users participation into CBC meetings. Champion Greater Elk City Area community ideas, concerns, issues to leaders in the County, Forest Service and Congressional Delegation. Champion IDPR support for a North Idaho Region ATV Seasonal

Get to know David:
​
David is a lifelong and native Idahoan who has been recreating on ATVs in Idaho’s back country since he was a child. He lives in the Boise area. David has two daughters, two sons and four granddaughters. David enjoys the outdoors, exploring and hunting, and of course riding his ATV. David has ridden throughout Idaho and eastern Oregon, on the Oregon Coast, and in Moab, Utah. He currently rides a Yamaha 400, and his wife drives a Yamaha 350. David has a small hobby ranch near Riggins and enjoys spending time riding in that area. Recently, David and his wife have also gotten in to Jeep off-roading.
For work, David is an attorney practicing law in Idaho since 2002. He is a founding member of Sawtooth Law Offices, PLLC, a firm based in Boise with a focus on agriculture and water law. As Vice President of the Association for Government Affairs, David assists the Association with legislative advocacy in Idaho's state Legislature and as to matters of National concerns with Idaho's Congressional delegation.
David is a previous member of the Southwest Idaho Regional Advisory Committee for the U.S. Forest Service, and the Recreational Trails Program Grant Committee for Idaho Parks and Recreation. David is also very involved with the Idaho Recreation Council.
Get to know Rusty:

Rusty Faircloth was born in North Kansas City, MO, and joined the Air Force in 1982; in 2003, he got stationed in Mountain Home AFB and retired from the Air Force in 2005. After only a couple of months of being retired from the Air Force, he founded the Mountain Home ATV Club in Aug 2005 and was the President of the club till 2023.
Rusty has always enjoyed the outdoors and what our public lands have to offer each and every one of us and believes that everyone should be able to use our public lands pursuing their favorite pastime which his happens to be on the back of either an ATV or SXS. He believes that working together will all users of our public lands that we can all benefit from the many resources they offer.
Rusty enjoys his time as the Treasurer of the Idaho State ATV Association, Inc as it allows him the opportunity to serve the motorized community in ensuring that our public lands remain open.
In his spare time when he finds some, you will find him outdoors enjoying any one of his many hobbies.
